I work with crappy scrappy projects and here I share my crafts and sewing projects with you! Working against becoming a crazy cat lady who collects trash... But at the same time moving in that direction.. |
From somewhere I got inspiration to do art, or just go crazy with stuff I had at home. I will now present my first of my scrappy crappy art projects.

This is made totally out of recycled material: previously used toilet paper… (ok, just kidding toilet paper is something I am not planning on reusing) But the frame is painted old cardboard box..
Explaining my art: This is a toilet paper heart and is it put just in front of the loo. It is like some kind of tribute to tp. I can’t think of any person who would not like tp. For me it is a bit of a humorous piece and I smile a bit each time I’m on the loo.
Garland from donald duck cartoons for my brothers graduation.
The need to do some crafty things and having and old lightbulb box…

Led to first cutting the box in half:

And then covering the two halves in news paper, with a lot of glue:

And the deed was done, now they might need a bit more work to be more interesting but they are pretty nice as they are. Well, if you are into to chabby type of recycling style.. I personally like if I can see the material, but I am considering some ways to make these more beautiful and colorful.
I had a bunch of colorful papers and a friends birthday party today…

These turned up to a pop up card:

To be honest, my time ran up before the birthday party and I did the card afterwards, nobody is perfect… It might seem a bit weird that I did it AFTER the party.. But that is kind of me. When I get an idea or see something I want to try, I HAVE TO… And by all likelihood someone else is going to have a birthday, so it is not like it is a waste.
The inspiration came from OH HAPPY DAY
Lately I haven’t been updating much but theres been many changes in my life and here comes the first one:
1. I started a diet SCD or GAPS. This is a quite strict one which has to become a lifestyle. You might wonder why would anyone ever do such a diet, well health reasons of course… Lately I have been feeling crappy and I want to feel fabulous being able to do amazing stuff!
Anyhow this diet has lead to some challages, like learning to make well fermented kefir yogurt.

Looks yummy, does it.. And the layer on top… I am not sure it’s a good thing. But time will tell. I also ordered an yoghurt machine, with that one making yoghurt should be piece of a cake!! Compared to now when I need to try to keep the temperature around 40 deg C (~100 F) for 24 hrs.. Well it is a good feeling to be able to do stuff on your own.
Update, I didn’t succeed that well with doing the Kefir in this way. They always were forming the layer ontop which resembled something like cheese and not the creamy nice Kefir I wanted to have… But as I was googling it I found out that Kefir needs to mature at room temperature… Problem solved and now of to do a new batch, again. Or maybe I’ll start on it tomorrow…
